Marketing To Independent Businesses

There is no difficulty pointing out who is lousy at marketing to small, growing businesses but who is really good at it? Which corporates understand how to talk to people who run their own businesses?

I'd love to know who you think is great at talking our language.

As you can see by the lack of comments (or the fact that everyone has gone on holiday, there are not many corporates who market well to the independents. Banks don't do it. Nor do the Business Links. Nor the phone companies. Nor the accounting package people. Some medium-sized businesses do it quite well but none of the big boys. And that's why there are no comments.

SAGE? SMEs are one of their target markets.

Not any of the banks.
Not any of the insurance companies.
Not any of the phone companies.

Maybe Viking or some of the office supply companies? But, how can you TALK to people about office supplies?

Fedex and DHL are pretty good.

Banks: try Alliance & Leicester.

Telephones/Mobiles: look at 02 with a new mobile landline offer for SMEs

I am afraid thatthe lack of comments/interest/help says it all...

No-one stands out as stunning or remarkable at selling in to this marketplace.
